About the Healthy Food For All Program
The Foodbank WA Healthy Food for All (HFFA) Program was established in 2007, building upon the existing School Breakfast Program and 'FOODcents® at Foodbank' initiatives. HFFA is a comprehensive state wide, school and community based initiative which consists of the School Breakfast Program, Food Sensations® nutrition education program and Choose to Move physical activity program. The Regional Strategy Project provides dedicated support to schools in regional WA. Foodbank WA's health promotion programs are developed in consultation and collaboration with the target group, health professionals, funding agencies and stakeholders to match the conditions and needs of high priority, at risk populations.
The HFFA Program evaluation has shown a substantial reduction in a range of behavioural risk factors within the high priority population target group. Outcomes include improved diet, increased physical activity, improved behavioural and academic outcomes, supportive environments and improved physical and mental health.
